BOOK COVER PROJECT
for the book "Sapphire Grove" by Amaal Kabieh.
A mystery novel with a historical backdrop.
The vision of the author, who reached out to me in the beginning of January - was to create a modern yet elegant cover design for her new novel incorporating golden embossing elements. A blue color palette was also a key requirement, reflected in the title and the overarching narrative.
With just one day to develop initial sketches, the author responded positively to all proposed concepts. The palm tree motif stood out as the most relevant to the story, ultimately becoming the chosen direction.
The endpaper was an additional intriguing element, designed to incorporate a hidden riddle—one that would only be solved by the end of the book, adding an extra layer of depth to the general concept.

A positive aspect of the project was the open and timely communication with the publisher, which ensured that essential elements—such as the logo, barcode, and other informational details—were seamlessly integrated into the design.
I appreciated every moment of this project for its collaborative spirit, the perfect alignment of vision and taste, and the synergy between all participants, all driven by a shared commitment to create a beautiful product.
